A faithful homage to the privateer rally cars of the late eighties — the ones run out of a van by four friends and a thermos. The livery was reconstructed from a single grainy photograph taken on a Czech forest stage in 1989; the sponsor decals belong to companies that no longer exist. Mechanically it is honest to the era: a five-speed dog box, hydraulic handbrake, adjustable gravel dampers, and a bank of auxiliary lamps that draw more current than anything else on the car. Nothing has been modernised for comfort. It is loud, hot, and demanding, and on a wet gravel road there is very little that feels more alive.
